Ramona 2026
Join us for the 103rd season of California's official outdoor play—America's longest-running outdoor drama! This spring, experience the powerful love story that brings to life the clash of cultures and resilience that forged early California. For nearly a century, the Ramona Bowl has been home to "Ramona," a powerful and enduring love story woven into the very fabric of California's identity.
This epic drama, based on Helen Hunt Jackson's novel, portrays the clash of cultures and the struggle for justice in early California, bringing history to life and fostering a deeper understanding of our shared past. Once again, "Ramona" is under the artistic direction of Duane Minard, a Native American artist and longtime participant in the play (including the iconic Alessandro!). Minard's leadership brings invaluable new insight and cultural sensitivity to this beloved tale, connecting the spectacle of "Ramona" to the very history it depicts. Experience this captivating story in the stunning Ramona Bowl Amphitheatre. Witness the grandeur of the Fiesta, the moving Native American Elder Blessing, and the thrilling horseback riding cowboys. It's a journey back in time that illuminates the roots of modern California.
